Farm Visits

We aid livestock producers with prevention and treatment of disease and maintenance of healthy animals. Feeding and husbandry programs specific to your operations needs will establish a solid foundation in prevention of disease. Illness evaluations on individual animals or general wellness checks are best performed early and involve teamwork with your farm and a veterinarian. Nutrition advice, vaccination programs and parasite control are also part of the services that we can assist in. For our established clients, we offer daily scheduled farm consultations and emergency services. Non-client farm calls will not be available on an emergency basis andmay not get priority of weekend or evening hours.

Dr. Schieber consults on a variety of species including beef cattle, sheep, goats, pigs, poultry, llamas and alpacas. Horse work is limited. Scheduling for all livestock should be done by calling the office during regular business hours through the main line at 419-562-2224. If Dr. Schieber is not available, the closest full-service emergency facility would be through the Ohio State University- Large Animal Services at Marysville.
